Jürgen Krämer is painting since his teenage years.
Attended lectures in Fine Arts at the Universität der Künste Berlin while studying Medicine at the Freie Universität Berlin.
Jürgen worked in London in his clinic as a General Practitioner but over the years he established close contacts with artists and leading galleries as White Cube (London) and Xavier Hufkens (Brussels)
Finally all channeled down to open Blurred in August 2024.
JK: The process of painting is re-defining your eye in the way how you approach art. After some time, you are able to see the challenges and their solving methods, which an artist has managed or even mastered. This is not only a technical discourse, rather more, I would say, painting is enhancing your senses, to a degree, that you feel a work of art, rather than only seeing it. An unmissable tool to build a collection.
To feel art or to feel an artist as Minguzzi, Demetz or Migliazza is easy, even without any knowledge or experience of painting or sculpturing.
But a lot of art works are ‘Trojan Horses’. Hiding, difficult to get an approach on first sight, but then eventually, they are allowing access.
Searching the Avant-guard can be frustrating, but if you make a discovery, it is extremely rewarding.
I am hypnotised by David Altmejd’s work. I am glad that I have found him.
