Data Controller: Blurred Art Museum - info@blurredartmuseum.com
We wish to inform you that Legislative Decree no. 196 of June 30, 2003 (“Personal Data Protection Code”) provides for the protection of individuals and other subjects with regard to the processing of personal data. According to the indicated legislation, this processing will be based on principles of fairness, lawfulness, transparency, and protection of your privacy and your rights.
Since technical cookies are used on our site for various purposes, with this notice we want to explain what cookies are and how they are used on the site. Other cookies (so-called third-party cookies) are instead managed and controlled by third parties, such as Google.
If you are unfamiliar with cookies, please read this policy carefully.
What cookies are and what they are used for
Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by the user send directly to their terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored to be later sent back to the same sites during the next visit by the same user (so-called first-party cookies). During browsing on a site, the user may also receive cookies from other websites or web servers (so-called third-party cookies); this happens because the website visited may contain elements such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains that reside on servers other than the one on which the requested page is located. In other words, these are cookies set by a website other than the one you are currently visiting.
Cookies can have a duration limited to a single browsing session (so-called session cookies), and in that case, they are automatically deactivated when the user closes the browser; or they can have a predetermined expiration date, in which case they remain stored and active on your hard drive until that expiration date, continuing to collect information during different browsing sessions (so-called persistent cookies).
Purpose of processing and purposes of technical session cookies
Cookies are used for various functions. Some are necessary to allow you to browse the site and use its features (so-called technical cookies). Others are used to obtain statistical information, aggregated or not, on the number of users accessing the site and how the site is used (so-called monitoring or analytics cookies). Finally, others are used to create a consumer profile of you and display advertisements on the site that may interest you because they are consistent with your tastes and consumption habits (so-called profiling cookies).
Technical cookies
Technical cookies are used on the site solely to make your navigation on the site possible and to allow you to use its features. These are always first-party cookies since they are directly sent by us to the site. Some technical cookies are essential to offer you an optimal browsing experience or to allow you to authenticate on the site, for example, to make a purchase or access your reserved area (so-called navigation cookies). Navigation cookies are usually session cookies, and, therefore, once the browsing session is closed, they are automatically deactivated. Other technical cookies are useful to allow you to store some of your preferences (for example, the language or the country of origin) without having to set them again during subsequent visits (so-called functionality cookies). For this reason, functionality cookies are often persistent, as they remain stored on your computer even after the browser session is closed, until their preset expiration date or until you decide to delete them.
Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are used to create a profile of you as a user, based on the preferences and tastes you expressed while browsing the internet, and to display advertising messages consistent with your profile. This way, the advertising messages you see on our site may be more interesting to you. As required by current privacy regulations, your prior consent is required for the installation of these cookies. First-party and third-party profiling cookies are not installed by this site. To disable profiling cookies, change your browser settings as indicated below.
How to manage cookies and oppose their use via browser
There are various options to manage, disable, and delete cookies. Changing your browser settings is the best option.
Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your browser to find out how to manage, disable, or delete all cookies (technical, analytics, and profiling):
- Explorer: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/196955/it
- Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647?hl=it
- Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/it/kb/Attivare%20e%20disattivare%20i%20cookie
- Safari: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH17191?locale=it_IT
- Opera: http://help.opera.com/Windows/10.00/it/cookies.html
Make your choices carefully. By indiscriminately blocking the receipt of all cookies, including technical ones, without providing a specific exception for the site, you may no longer be able to browse the site or use all or part of its features. Moreover, by deleting all cookies from the browser, even technical cookies may be removed, and therefore, you might remove the preferences you set while using the site or no longer find the products or services in your cart.
Cookies used on our site:
Technical cookies
The technical cookies present on our website can be divided into:
- Navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access reserved areas);
- Functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on a series of selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase) to improve the service provided. User consent is not required for the installation of these cookies. However, users can choose to disable cookies on this site and others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We recommend consulting your browser's Help section or looking at the About Cookies site, which offers a guide (in English) for all modern browsers.
